WordPress troubleshooting often starts with collecting the same information: which plugins are installed, how the site is configured, and what the environment looks like. WPDevCopilot brings that context into an assistant inside WordPress administration.
A native PHP plugin gathers structured site information and connects it to a TypeScript backend using Anthropic Claude. The assistant provides recommendations informed by that context, with conversation history available inside the WordPress workflow. The assistant recommends steps and code; site changes remain under the user's control.
The implementation extends beyond the chat interface. It includes React dashboards, a PostgreSQL data model, usage controls and a plugin release registry connected to WordPress's update checks.
Demonstrated Experience
- •Connecting WordPress to an external service: collecting site information, making authenticated API requests and assembling useful context for responses.
- •Managing a plugin beyond its first installation: maintaining version records and connecting release information to WordPress's familiar update process.
